English Majolica albino relief moulded jug or pitcher in the Corn pattern. Measuring 9 inches tall, and white in color with hand painted gilt highlighting the pattern. English registry and impressed "flower" mark associated with the Staffordshire Cobridge pottery works of Brownfield & Son(s), circa 1870s-1880s. Wonderful condition, with some shelf wear to the base and slight wear to the gilt. Not often found in white, especially in such nice condition.

Four Sylvan pattern scenic dinner plates by William Brownfield & son. The enameled plates depict wildlife in their natural settings. Measuring 9 1/2 inches, the heavy porcelain plates are in very nice condition with slight gilt loss to the edge and utensil marks light enough so as not to have damaged the painted scenes. This is a beautiful flow blue dinner plate in the Pekin pattern by Wood and Brownfield. Measures 10-1/2" and in amazing condition on the front side. The plate probably spent all its 150+ years in a cabinet because of a "kiln blister" on the back side that lost its glaze and color. Marked with impressed "Pearl Ware" and the crown and wreath with W&B stamp for Wood and Brownfield, which dates the plate to 1837-1850 when John Wood was with Brownfield. Very nice ironstone Polychrome English dinner plate. Oriental "Pekoe" pattern, also known as "long tail bird" pattern. Measuring 10 1/4 inches across, and in wonderful condition with typical fine crazing and some lose of orange enameling at the plate edge. Cobalt crown mark with Ashworth Bros, Hanley, England on bottom. Circa 1880s. 4 plates available at $110.00 each Also available is a tab handle serving dish and a jug in this same pattern.

Lovely gilt decorated porcelain covered (probably muffin) dish and underplate by Brownfield and Sons. Measures 1-1/4" tall by 5-1/4" across the opening, lid is 5-3/4" across while the underplate is 7-3/4". The unusual pierced tabs extend another 1/2" over the bowl rim. Has some signs of utensil use in the bowl, and slightest of wear to plate from the bowl setting on it, and to the rim from the lid resting on the dish, also slight gilt loss to the tabs. Has one tiny edge-glaze pop, and a bit of blue "flow" to the back side. Marked with both cobalt and impressed Garter backstamps of Brownfields, Cobridge Pottery Works, Staffordshire, England.
